Due to the ever-increasing digitization, the need for higher data transmission rates in fiber optic communication technology and the resulting demands on optical components are increasing at the same rate. A crucial point for wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) is the precise optical filtering of the individual wavelengths. This increases the demands on the optical diffraction gratings used in particular. For the exact determination of the respective diffraction angle and the resulting grating constant, MÖLLER-WEDEL OPTICAL GmbH offers the ideal solution with the GONIOMAT APLUS DGM.

It combines precise angle measurement characteristics of the GONIOMAT A product line with the wavelength stability of the coupled HeNe laser and thus allows a simple, automatic, precise and reliable measurement of the diffraction angle. Whereby the special fixture also allows in-process measurement of whole wafers with a diameter of 100 mm or the tables included as standard in the scope of delivery of the GONIOMAT A product line allow the measurement of already separated gratings in the outgoing or incoming goods inspection. The pass and fail classification established in the GONIOMATIK software, which supports the end user, ensures a quick and easy interpretation of the measurement results in quality control. In addition, the 3D reflex detection supports the user in the measurement process. The test specimen can simply be placed without adjustment and then the fully automatic, template-controlled measuring process can be started.

Thus, the GONIOMAT APLUS DGM offers the possibility to save time during the production of the grids, to avoid unnecessary production waste and to guarantee the satisfaction of your end customers by the high and constant quality of your products.
