In addition, each laser features an auxiliary thermistor that monitors the case temperature and a built-in monitor photodiode.

Thorlabs Low-Noise, Turnkey Laser Systems, 852 or 895 nm

Thorlabs’ DBR85TK and DBR89TK lasers are turnkey, low-noise laser systems that integrate their DBR852PN or DBR895PN Distributed Bragg Reflector (DBR) laser diodes with a high-performance, low-noise driver and temperature stabilization inside of a benchtop housing. The DBR85TK is centered at 852.35 nm, corresponding to the D2 atomic transition line of cesium (Cs), while the DBR89TK is centered at 894.6 nm, aligned with the D1 transition line of cesium. Thorlabs Ambient Liquid Cooling System: A Rack-Mounted Solution for Heat Dissipation

Thorlabs’ LKA1300 Ambient Liquid Cooling System is a recirculating liquid to air heat exchanger that provides up to 1300 W of cooling with a 25 °C liquid-to-ambient temperature difference. With a constant load at a constant ambient temperature, the LKA1300 operates with 1.2 bar (17.4 psi) of pumping capability and a temperature stability of ±0.5 °C with ≥0.5 Lpm flow. The coolant can either be water or a mixture of water and water-glycol (antifreeze), and is recirculated using a high-pressure pump to attain maximum flow rate. Heat from the coolant is absorbed by a radiant heat exchanger and dissipated into the environment using silent fans.

The Thorlabs QF4600HS is a high-speed quantum cascade laser that can be used in applications requiring rapid intensity modulation in the mid-infrared. The low phase difference between the input and output signals for typical piezo capacitance values, with <60° at 600 kHz with no load, as shown in Figure 1.4, leads to increased stability and a higher bandwidth when using this piezo amplifier in a feedback loop.

Thorlabs WM202 Wavelength Meter: A compact, general-purpose instrument for measuring center wavelength of CW lasers from 600 to 1700 nm

The Thorlabs WM202 Wavelength Meter measures the wavelength, coherence length, and power of a CW laser that is coupled to the device through an FC/APC input fiber by using a scanning Michelson interferometer and a reference laser. The wavelength measurement absolute accuracy is 1 ppm when using the internal reference laser, or 0.3 ppm when using an external reference laser with ±25 MHz accuracy (after a 15-minute warm-up, if the device is calibrated annually with a known wavelength laser). The annual calibration can be performed by the user if an appropriate laser is available or by Thorlabs, if needed.

Thorlabs O-Band Fiber Amplifier (PDFA) ideal for use within optical networks as either a booster amplifier or preamplifier

Thorlabs' O-Band Praseodymium-Doped Fiber Amplifiers (PDFAs) offer high gain (>20 dB small signal gain), high output power (>16 dBm), and a low noise figure (<8 dB), making them ideal for use within optical networks as either a booster amplifier or preamplifier. As Praseodymium (Pr) ions in silica transition to a lower excited state nonradiatively, PDFAs cannot be built using silica fibers. A higher radiative transition efficiency can be obtained by choosing fluoride glass as the host for the Pr ions, and Thorlabs' PDFAs are designed and manufactured using proprietary fluoride fiber to achieve high gain and output power. These O-band fiber amplifiers incorporate a relatively short length of PDF, which results in a signal latency <100 ns.
