DDS, Phase controllable, Multi-channels

The MPDSPxxnCmX is a multi outputs driver based on DDS (Direct Digital Synthesizers)
which offer high frequency accuracy and stability.

Each DDS are locked in phase when driven at
same frequency and can be phase controlled over 14bits. The frequency and power is driven
through USB/RS232 communication. External control signals allow user for fast AM control of
the channels/outputs. Embedded power amplifiers up to 4 watts per output. For higher power,
AA will provide external power amplifiers.

DDS, with External Clock Reference input, Multi-outputs

The MPDSExxnCmX is a multi outputs driver based on DDS (Direct Digital Synthesizers) which offer high frequency accuracy and stability. Each DDS operates with a common External clock reference so that they provide phase locked output signals when driven at same frequency. The frequency and power is driven through USB/RS232 communication. External control signals allow user for fast AM control of the channels/outputs. Embedded power amplifiers up to 4 watts per output. For higher power, AA will provide external power amplifiers.

MPDSnCmX : Multi outputs DDS locked in phase

AA offers multi-outputs (2 to 8) fixed or variable frequency drivers based on DDS, with phase locked outputs. Based on a common Reference clock, they allow user to create multiple phase locked signals at the same frequency, or stable frequency difference between outputs thanks to the common Reference.

Access to and adjustments of functions is simple with either an Android tablet (with remote control adjustment) or through a RS232 serial link (with computer control) or USB communication.

All parameters are stored in an EEPROM and are automatically loaded after each switch on. Each output is externally controlled by a distinct modulation input signal which can be digital or analog. Additionally, outputs can be simultaneously controlled by a blanking signal.

DDS, Direct Digital synthesizers, Single channel

Direct digital synthesisers (DDS) use a method of producing an analog waveform—usually a sine wave—by generating a time-varying signal in digital form and then performing a digital-to-analog conversion. Because operations within a DDS device are primarily digital, it can offer high stability, fast switching between output frequencies, high frequency resolution, and operation over a broad spectrum of frequencies.
The DDS can be amplitude modulated (AM) from an external analog or digital signal. An external power amplifier can be required to generate the requested RF power level.

VCO (Voltage controlled oscilators)

A Voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) is an oscillator with an output signal whose output can be varied over a specific frequency range, which is controlled by the input DC voltage. It is an oscillator whose output frequency is directly related to the voltage applied by used at its input (FM control).

The sweeping time is a key parameter of the VCO: this is the minimum necessary time to switch or sweep from minimum frequency to maximum frequency or reverse.

The VCO can be amplitude modulated from an external analog signal (AM). An external power amplifier can be required to generate the requested RF power level.
