Mad City Labs is uniquely placed to develop nanoscale microscopes for material characterization and quantum sensing. The heart of any nanoscopy application are the positioning systems. Our extensive range of nanopositioners have been specifically designed for high stability and low noise performance critical for any nanoscopy technique.
When combined with Mad City Labs' AFM controllers, the components are in place for building scanning probe microscopes such as Quantum Scanning Microscopes, Atomic Force Microscopes, and Near Field Scanning Optical Microscopes.
The AFM controllers provide seamless hardware control, as well as the software control for acquiring and exporting AFM data. The SPM-M Kit provides a good template for what equipment is necessary to build your own AFM.
MadPLL® is a powerful instrument package that allows the user to create an inexpensive, high resolution resonant scan probe microscope using Mad City Labs piezo nanopositioning systems. In short, MadPLL® can be used to create an “instant” closed loop AFM or NSOM at a fraction of the cost of other commercial systems.
