Quantronix was founded in 1967 and pioneered the first commercial CW-pumped Nd:YAG laser. Since then, the company has continued to build upon that early spirit of innovation. Today, Quantronix offers hundreds of laser systems in a myriad of configurations and has successfully installed over 15,000 laser systems for various applications worldwide. Our focus is on the innovation of CW pumped Q-switched solid-state lasers and ultrafast lasers for the implementation of cutting edge laser technology in advanced industrial, scientific, and commercial applications. High Energy Solid State Lasers At the heart of each Continuum laser system is a very high efficiency pump chamber to couple the flashlamp light into the Nd:YAG rod. Through the use of a diffuse reflector concept, Continuum is able to produce high gain with low heat buildup in the overall system. The result is superior beam quality and excellent passive beam pointing stability without the use of the costly active locking technology used by other companies. Continuum offers five laser platforms based on this technology:
- Powerlite: High power Nd:YAG laser systems
Surelite: High performance Nd:YAG laser systems Inlite: Industrial Nd:YAG laser systems Minilite: Compact Nd:YAG laser systems Leopard: Picosecond Nd:YAG laser systems Agilite: Variable Pulsewidths made standard PIV systems: Minilite, Inlite and Surelite PIV systems |

Powerlite Series: Energy through Efficiency
Efficiency is the cornerstone of the Powerlite Series, because efficiency is the key to high performance in high energy Nd:YAG lasers. Continuum's Powerlite Series (Powerlite Precision 8000, 9000's and Precision Plus) provides reliable high performance in a compact package. Unsurpassed in energy, the Powerlites range from 550 mJ to 3 J at 1064 nm, again with harmonic options for 532 nm, 355 nm and 266 nm outputs. Available with injection seeding option, double pulse option (DPO), or the Beam Access Package. |
