Phasis products include epitaxial ferroelectric PZT thin films and gold Au(111) layers on mica.

The epitaxial films present an extremely high degree of structural quality including surfaces with very low corrugation and also good ferroelectric properties. Such films are ideal for nanoscopic investigations of ferrolectric domains, i.e. using AFM it is possible to read&write ferroelectric regions with inverted polarizatio.

Gold Au(111) thin films are epitaxially grown using RF magnetron sputtering on freshly cleaved high quality Mica substrates. The films present an extremely high degree of structural quality including surfaces with well defined terraces well adapted to local probe studies. These films can be advantageously used for SPM calibration purposes.

Audiodev ("Audio" because they first started in the CD testing market) make testers used by CD, DVD and Blu-Ray disc manufacturers. The high end (Blu-Ray Disc) testers use drives made by Toptica, who have been represented by Lastek now for several years. The testers are used to check that the master disks and the end-products manufactured by media companies meet international standards. As the size of the features on such disks are in the micron range and the tracking accuracy and other parameters in the sub-micron range, these testers are very advanced systems. The HydraHarp 400 is a high-end, easy-to-use, plug and play Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting (TCSPC) system with scalability for multiple channels*. It is connected to a PC through a USB 2.0 high speed interface. It provides identical synchronised but independent input channels. They can be used as detector inputs for coincidence correlation experiments as well as independent stop inputs for TCSPC. A dedicated common sync input is provided for TCSPC with fast excitation sources. This allows forward start-stop operation at the full repetition rate of mode locked lasers with stable repetition rate up to 150 MHz. Experiments with low repetition rate benefit from the HydraHarp's multi-stop capability.
